Ford Motor Co. has announced changes to its leadership team in Australia.

The company has appointed Kay Hart — who previously held the title of global BEV manager, distribution and digital experience for Team Edison — as the new president and CEO of Ford Australia and New Zealand.

Hart will report to Peter Fleet, Ford group vice president and president, Ford Asia Pacific.

The previous president and CEO, Graeme Whickman, resigned after 20 years at Ford, effective as of July 2.

“Kay is a proven leader, highly motivated by consumer insights and dealer relations,” said Peter Fleet, Ford group vice president and president, Ford Asia Pacific. “She has broad experience across the company and around the globe. With strong knowledge and relationships in Australia and New Zealand, Kay will be a wonderful addition to our leadership team and a strong advocate for our customers and dealers.”

In her new role, Hart will be responsible for Ford’s National Sales Company in Australia and New Zealand, along with marketing, sales and service, dealer relations, customer satisfaction, and sales performance. She will also continue to lead the transformation of Ford’s business, which includes the work to revamp the consumer and dealer experience, the company noted.

In her most recent position with Team Edison, she primarily focused on rapidly designing and implementing new holistic customer-focused BEV services and ownership experienced, according to Ford Motor Co. In that role, she was responsible for driving the transformation of Ford’s future customer experience across the global, the company added.
