GM Leads Vincentric’s Canadian Top Fleet Value List

General Motors featured eight winning vehicles in Vincentric’s annual Best Fleet Value in Canada awards, more than any other OEM this year.

GM vehicles that were bestowed the award this year, which recognizes vehicles with the best fleet value, included six Chevrolet vehicles, according to Vincentric. Winning GM vehicles this year included the Impala LS and Chevrolet Express 3500 LS. Meanwhile, Cadillac delivered luxury wins for GM with the XTS and the XT5.

Ford Motor Company of Canada also performed well with six fleet award winners. Other brands with multiple fleet award winners were BMW, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, and Subaru.

Ford was honored in the truck and van categories with the F-250 and Transit 150 Passenger Van both winning for the fourth consecutive year.

Other brands with winning fleet vehicles were Audi, Dodge, Hyundai, Kia, Lincoln, Nissan, Ram, Smart, Toyota, and Volvo.

To determine the winners, Vincentric performed a detailed cost of ownership analysis on over 2,400 vehicle configurations based on typical use in a commercial fleet, Vincentric said in a release. Each vehicle was evaluated in all 10 provinces plus the Northwest Territories using 28 different lifecycle cost scenarios and eight different cost factors. Winners were identified by determining which vehicles had the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios for its segment.
