The Global Fleet Managers Club held its inaugural meeting during the 2018 Global Fleet Conference in Rome where members who manage global fleets could share best practices among colleagues, according to report from Nexus Communication.

Approximately 40 fleet managers from around the globe met to share information and network with each other. The meeting was highlighted by a case study from Juergen Freitag, head of global fleet management at Siemens AG, and winner of the 2017 Global Fleet Manager Award, according to Nexus Communication.

During the meeting, Freitag discussed the importance of obtaining buy-in from company stakeholders to improve fleet initiatives and global vehicle emission concerns.

The 2018 Global Fleet Conference was held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Rome, Italy, on May 28-30, 2018. The 2019 Global Fleet Conference will be held June 5-6, 2019 in Miami, Fla., at the Hilton Miami Downtown.
