Kia Motors America is recalling approximately 106,428 2015 to 2018 Kia Sedona minivans because the power sliding door may not reverse if it encounters an obstruction while closing. With this scenario, the door could potentially strike or close on a vehicle passenger.

In the event the door hits a person, there is an increased risk of injury.

To remedy the problem, Kia will notify owners, and Kia dealers will reprogram the power sliding door module software logic.

This recall affects vehicles produced between July 21, 2014 and Dec. 6, 2017.
