Ford has recalled 273 of its 2018 EcoSport subcompact SUVs because they have incorrect brake fluid reservoir caps and a European owners manual, according to Ford.

The incorrect caps and manuals don't meet federal motor vehicle safety standards, and Ford isn't aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue.

To remedy the problem, dealers will replace the brake fluid reservoir cap and the owners’ manual kit with the appropriate ones required by U.S. federal motor vehicle safety standards, at no charge to customers.

The recall involves vehicles only in the U.S. federalized territories. Vehicles affected include 2018 Ford EcoSport vehicles built at Chennai Assembly Plant in India from Oct. 27, 2017 to March 6.

Ford’s reference number for this recall is 18C04.
