Ford Motor Co. has updated the Waze navigation app with its SYNC infotainment system to allow drivers to use their voice to find efficient routes, locate cheaper fuel prices, and report traffic accidents, the company announced.

Waze is now available to iPhone users through Ford SYNC's AppLink platform. The vehicle must be equipped with SYNC 3, and the iPhone must have iOS 11.3 and the Waze app.

Other updates included as part of "talk to Waze" include route support for high occupancy lanes, additional navigation options, and more accurate arrival times. Waze uses crowdsourcing to gather information about road conditions from all of its users to deliver optimal driving directions and traffic updates.
