Approximately 20% of Ikea's customer delivery fleet in India will be comprised of electric vehicles, the Swedish furniture company announced in anticipation of the opening of its first store in the country, according to Inc42.

Ikea's store in India, located in Hyderabad, will be equipped with an electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and plans to grow the electric vehicle fleet to 40% in the second year, and 60% in the year after, reports Live Mint.

Ikea has also announced plans to hire women for 50% of its workforce in India by 2025.
