The U.K. true fleet market posted its first positive month for vehicle registrations for the first time in more than a year, with a 6.3% growth in April 2018, according to a report from Dataforce.

SUV registrations helped achieved growth in this segment as there were 96 different SUVs with at least one registration in true fleet for April 2018, according to Dataforce. This number is expected to grow. The overall total market was up by 10.4% and was just shy of notching 168,000 registrations.

The true fleet market includes all registrations to companies excluding certain categories such as short-term rentals and demo vehicles

Some of the top SUVs contributing to the strength in registration for the U.K. included the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, the Peugeot 5008, and the SEAT Arona, which were all released late in 2017 but have now all managed to accumulate four-digit numbers in fleet registrations. SEAT also secured the highest growth in the true fleet segment in April by approximately 50%.

The top five OEMs in terms of vehicle registrations for the month of April were Ford, Vauxhall, Mercedes, Volkswagen, and Audi, according to Dataforce. For more information visit www.dataforce.de/en.
