General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling an estimated 379 2018 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles because the driver and front passenger window glass may not be properly tempered.

If the window gets broken and the glass is incorrectly tempered, it will shatter into large fragments, which increases the possibility of injury.

To remedy the problem, GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the glass in the front doors at no cost to customers.

The recall begins on May 11. Owners can reach Chevrolet customer service at (800) 222-1020. GM's number for this recall is 18136.
