Fleet FAQ? Driver Risk Management

Q. Who in my company should be responsible for driver risk management?

A. Responsibility for driver risk varies with the size of the company, but from our experience, the most effective programs are owned by positions at the highest level.  That could be the company owner or the CEO.  However, responsibility doesn’t stop there.  Each person in the chain of command must have direct responsibility for making road safety a priority.  The most successful programs have road safety KPIs built into the performance plans of each responsible person.
