The automakers take their first joint event to Indiana, where fleet managers had the opportunity to drive at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The first joint fleet preview for Volkswagen and Audi had the theme "On the Right Track," and a certain track was one of the star attractions.

The 2015-MY fleet preview took place June 23-25 at The Westin Indianapolis, and included a trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The opening reception was held June 23 at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Hall of Champions.

The next morning, Martin Kiel, national fleet sales manager of Volkswagen of America, and Tony Trapalis, corporate sales manager of for Audi of America, presented the automakers' 2015 model-year lineup at a meeting that featured speaker John McElroy of Autoline TV.

Following lunch, attendees headed to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to try out the newest products, with 30 Volkswagen and 18 Audi models available for test drives. Audi also had an R8 with a professional driver taking guests around the famed two-and-a-half mile circuit.

The racing spirit made its way to that night's dinner as well, as attendees had the chance to drive simulators, continuing the competitions that were born that afternoon on the Speedway track, according to VW Business Analyst Marcus Gunter.
