According to Uniroyal Tire, a division of Uniroyal, Inc. of Troy, MI, downtime due to flat tires can cost a company as much as $1,000 during the two-year life of a fleet vehicle. Xerox will analyze the cost benefits and quality assurance features of the puncture-sealing technology, said to have been pioneered by Uniroyal.

Minivans are an important component of the Xerox fleet, whose 11,500 vehicles earned the firm third place on Automotive Fleet's latest Top 100 Fleets list. Ron Pink is the Xerox fleet manager.
