A.E. "Gene" Munroe, long-time fleet executive of Lincoln-Mercury, died Dec. 5 in Dearborn Heights, MI, after a long illness. He was 81. An honorary member of the National Association of Feelt Administrators (NAFA), Munroe was instrumental in organizing the NAFA's Law Enforcement Group and was an authority on police car specifications. He began his career at Ford Motor Co. in 1960 when he joined Lincoln-Mercury Division as lease and fleet sales specialist in the Los Angeles area, and eventually moved up to the position of national account executive at Lincoln-Mercury. He is survived by his son, Jeff Munroe.
