DES PLAINES, IL - Wheels announced on Nov. 30, 2001 it has passed $1 billion in online review since launching its e-commerce initiative two years ago.

Business conducted online with Wheels' clients has grown to nearly three-quarters of a total company revenue, and 80 percent of wheels clients now use Wheels' online fleet management tools.

In September 1999, Wheels introduced FleetView, an Internet-based tool that allows fleet managers to order vehicles, review cost reports, benchmark costs across divisions and by history, and look up a specific driver to review his or her expenses. Wheels also developed DriverView, an Internet tool for drivers, which allows the drivers to interact directly with Wheels instead of going through their employers' fleet office. Through DriverView, a fleet driver can compare costs and features of vehicle choices, place an order, choose a delivery location, check order status, input mileage, review company policy information, and quote and purchase his or her used vehicle.
