HUNT VALLEY, MD - PHH Salvage Management has created a Web-based information system called PHH Access to assist insurance companies in keeping track of vehicles they need to sell as salvage. These are typically vehicles that have been wrecked or recovered from theft and are declared a total loss. PHH Salvage Management, a division of PHH Vehicle Management Services, works with insurance companies to manage the sale of these vehicles. According to Tony Hili, general manager of PHH Salvage Management, 75 percent of the insurance companies do not have an automated system to track their salvage vehicles.
