Nissan confirmed that it will produce vehicles in Argentina starting in 2018 during a recent meeting between Nissan Motor Co. CEO Hiroto Saikawa and Argentina’s president Mauricio Marci in Tokyo.

Saikawa discussed with Marci about the advances that Nissan has been making to meet its goals of producing vehicles in the country, according to AutoCar Professional

Nissan is set to produce the NP300 Frontier pickup truck in later half of 2018, according to the Latin American Herald Tribune.

The Cordoba plant that the NP300 is being produced at will also produce pickups for Renault and Daimler that will be sold in Argentina and exported to other countries in the region, according to the Latin American Herald Tribune.
