Subaru of America is recalling 33,131 2017-model year Impreza compact cars because of potential stalling, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Winter fuels may vaporize prematurely in the fuel line, resulting in a fuel pressure reduction that might cause the engine to stall, NHTSA explained.
To fix the problem, Subaru dealers will reprogram the engine control unit to turn the radiator-cooling fan on at a lower temperature. There will be no charge for this service.
Vehicle owners can reach Subaru customer service at (800) 782-2738. Subaru’s number for this recall is WTP-75.
