Orpak Systems, a solution and service provider for retail gas stations and commercial fleets, has acquired Brazilian fiscal fuel station management software provider Microsffer.

Headquartered in São Paulo, Microsffer offers management solutions for retail fuel stations, providing a wide range of services, software, and head office solutions, as well as 24/7 support center. Orpak said that Microsffer’s acquisition will substantially increase the Israeli-headquartered company’s presence and strengthens its brand in Brazil’s fuel market.

Together with Microsffer, Orpak said it will promote its world renowned ForeFuel (Fuel Payment by Vehicle’s RFID) solution, as well as its analytics-based Wet Stock Management and cloud solutions.

Marcos Dal Bom, Microsffer CEO, will continue to manage the company as an Orpak subsidiary. Microsffer’s local installation, field support, and 24/7 call center capabilities will facilitate Orpak’s growth and activities in Brazil’s Retail and Home-Base (Commercial Fleets) segments.

“The year 2016 has shown to be a year of growth and expansion for Orpak,” said Shay Bakfan, CEO at Orpak Systems. “We have expanded our local presence and activities in Germany, Russia, Greece, and now in Brazil. The Microsffer acquisition is part of our continuous growth and investment in South America and in line with our strategy to enhance our software solutions. I’m confident that Marcos Dal Bom, who has led Microsffer to sustainable growth, will continue doing so together with Orpak.”
