Ford Motor Co. is issuing a safety compliance recall for approximately 1,826 2017-model year Lincoln Continental vehicles in the U.S. because the HID headlamps may have LED lenses that are missing the required lens optics for turn signal visibility.

These requirements are set forth in federal safety standards.

Dealers will make an inspection and, if necessary, replace the headlamp assemblies. There will be no charge for this service, Ford said in a released statement.

Ford added that it isn’t aware of any accidents or injuries associated with this issue. The recall covers certain 2017 Lincoln Continental vehicles built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant from June 14 to Sept. 23 of this year.

In addition to the vehicles recalled in the U.S., 49 more will be recalled in Canada for the same issue. One will be recalled in federalized territories.
