Carpenter

Audi of America has appointed Matt Carpenter as vice president and CFO of the company.

Carpenter will be responsible for the financial planning, steering, controlling, reporting, and target achievement at Audi of America, according to the automaker.

He reports to Scott Keogh, president of Audi of America. Carpenter replaces Christian Schroth, who has returned to Audi AG in Germany.

“Matt knows how to work within this company, both in the U.S. and in Germany,’’ Keogh said. “He knows our business and our stakeholders, and he operates with the credibility earned by excelling in various roles within Audi over the past decade. I look forward to seeing how his unique mix of talents can benefit us as we enter an unprecedented period of growth and change in this industry and our company.’’

Carpenter joined Audi of America in 2007 as a business management consultant in Auburn Hills, MI, and later served as vehicle merchandising manager. His most recent role at Audi of America was GM, vehicle sales.

Before Audi, Matt held various positions at Ford Motor Company.
