Ford has begun collaborating with a trio of technology start-up to explore next-generation vehicle technologies such as interactive mapping, connectivity, and ride-hailing, the company announced.

Ford is working with Spatial, HAAS Alert, and Cargo after their participation in Tech Mobility, an automotive technology incubator that provides a three-month mentorship program and financial assistance to 12 start-ups each year.

Spatial is a Cincinnati company that provides a dynamic human-driven layer of social intelligence to create mapping and navigation. Chicago-based HAAS Alert is a connected notification platform that warns motorists about approaching emergency vehicles. Cargo is a New York-based in-vehicle general store that ride-hailing drivers cater to passengers.
