For the fourth consecutive year, the Global Fleet Conference sold out. The conference, which is produced by Nexus Communication, publisher of Fleet Europe, and Bobit Business Media, publisher of Automotive Fleet, was held in Brussels, the capital of the EU, at the iconic The Hotel.

The conference attracted more than 300 fleet managers and stakeholders from around the globe, and has become a not-to-be-missed event for fleet professionals with global responsibilities.

During the two-day conference various forward-looking fleet management topics were discussed and detailed, from the impact of the global economy to the necessity to turn fleet management into a more sustainable program steered by the effects of climate change, the rise of electric mobility, and the arrival of the self-driving car.

For the expert speakers and the participants of which around 100 were international fleet managers, there was a consensus to develop a sustainable fleet management strategy in which electric mobility can play a key role, with attention for growing support of driver behavior and telematics.

On the second day of the conference, the focus was on individual global regions, with insights in Latin America, including Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Argentina, and Chile, and   South East Asia.

The 2016 Global Fleet Conference was preceded by an Advisory Board meeting of international corporate clients in which the results of the 2016 Global Fleet Survey were revealed and best practices in terms of global fleet management, compliance of policy, electric mobility and the use of telematics were shared.
