Nissan's 2016 Sentra retails for at least $17,615 and had now arrived at dealer lots with a mid-cycle refresh that enhances safety technology on the compact sedan, according to Nissan.

Nissan is increasing Sentra's price by $250 and expanding available safety and driving aid technologies, including forward emergency braking, intelligent cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert.

The Sentra will be offered in six models, including S 6MT, S Xtronic, FE+ S, SV, SR and SL. All models are powered by a 1.8L four-cylinder mated to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. The Sentra S is the entry model with an 6-speed manual transmission.

Other Sentra models will retail for $18,465 for the S Xtronic; $18,865 for the FE+ S Xtronic; $19,385 for the SV Xtronic; $21,245 for the SR Xtronic; and $23,005 for the SL Xtronic.
