Nissan's 2016 Murano starts at $30,560 for a mid-size SUV that entered its third generation with a major refresh for the 2015 model year.

Nissan's refresh appears to have taken hold, as the near-luxury Murano increased sales by 30% through November compared with the comparable period in 2014, according to Nissan.

Nissan is again offering the Murano in four trim grades, including S, SV, SL, and Premium that will retail for $33,620 for the SV, $37,950 for the SL, and $40,000 for the Premium.

The Murano is powered by a 3.5L DOHC V-6 mated to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive can be added for $1,600.
