Tesla Motors will unveil the Model X, its first luxury sports utility vehicle, on September 29 at 7 p.m. in Fremont, Calif., according to a report by MarketWatch.

The electric car maker sent out invitations with no further information on the vehicle.

Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, first mentioned that production cars would be handed over at their Fremont factory on September 29 via Twitter.

Notable features of the Model X includes falcon wing rear doors; all-wheel drive for all trims, and the optional ludicrous mode.

The standard Model X trim starts at $75,000, while the Model X Signature trim is priced at $132K.
