Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) executives Marja and Ken Thompson are retiring after serving a combined 36 years at the Association.

Marja Thompson joined AfMA when it first started in 1995 and her husband Ken Thompson joined four years later in 1999. Marja, who had experience as a senior manager in the recruitment and transport industries in Australia and Europe, will hand over the reins as executive director to Mace Hartley.

Hartley will also take on Ken Thompson's responsibilities as director of research and communications, including media and government liaison.

Hartley has been with the association for two years and has more than three decades of commercial experience in the retail automotive, general insurance, and fleet managment industries, according to the association.

Before joining AfMA, Hartley worked as the general manager of Smartfleet Management Australia.
