BMW of North America is recalling 13,130 MINI Cooper Hardtop two-door cars in the 2014 and 2015 model years so dealers can replace the tire information placards, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The placards were printed with incorrect information about the maximum capacity weight of the tires, which is a violation of federal safety standards. The figures listed are too low, NHTSA said.

The cars were manufactured in 2014, from Dec. 1 to Dec. 14. BMW is expected to notify vehicle owners about the recall by March 13.

Vehicle owners can reach BMW customer service at (866) 825-1525.
