Hyundai Motor America is recalling 42,925 Genesis and Equus vehicles because their stop lamps may malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports.

The 2009-2011 model-year Genesis vehicles were manufactured from April 30, 2008, to Nov. 21, 2010. The 2011 Hyundai Equus vehicles were manufactured from July 31, 2010, to Nov. 21, 2010.

The problem is tied to circuit failure, NHTSA said. Hyundai dealers will repair the stop lamp switch circuit, free of charge. Vehicle owners can reach Hyundai customer service at (714) 865-3920. Hyundai's number for this recall is 125.
