The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation last week kicked off a major aggressive-driving crackdown involving the State Police and about 350 municipal police agencies.

The enforcement campaign extends through Nov. 22.

Officers will be looking for drivers exhibiting such unsafe behaviors as speeding, tailgating and running red lights, PennDOT said. Last year’s crackdown resulted in more than 53,000 citations related to aggressive driving. More than 31,000 of them were for speeding.
