Honda has teased its new HR-V compact SUV in Tokyo and Paris, and will debut the compact SUV at the L.A. Auto Show next month.

The HR-V will serve as the entry point to Honda’s light-truck lineup and will be positioned below the CR-V in price and size. The model is built on the Honda Fit platform and is expected to share the Fit's 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

Honda says the new vehicle is "anticipated to launch this winter."

The HR-V will feature the Magic Seat system which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space.

Pricing and availibility haven't been announced yet. More details on the vehicle will be released on Nov. 19 at the L.A. Auto Show according to a Honda press release.
