General Motors is recalling approximately 117,600 2013-2014 model-year vehicles in North America because of a potential defect in the chassis-control system that can lead to stalling, the Detroit News reports.

GM dealers will replace the modules, free of charge. Of the 117,600 vehicles being recalled for this problem, about 97,000 are in the U.S.

Many of the recalled vehicles — about 4,500 — have not yet been sold and are still on dealer lots. The modules will be replaced before these cars and trucks are sold.

GM said it is unaware of any crashes, injuries or deaths related to the chassis-control issue.
