The Russian company Gazprom has approached Iran to purchase compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment, according to a report by zawya.com.

Speaking at the recent sixth Automobile International Conference, the manager for construction of CNG stations at National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co. (NIOPDC), Mansour Riahi, briefed attendees on opportunities for the export of industrial services. On the export of CNG services, he noted that Iran has also agreed to construct five CNG stations in Iraq, according to the report.

Mansour also reportedly told the conference attendees that Iran's CNG industry has the capacity to enter the markets of Central Asian and neighboring countries.
