The transport service of the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag) has added 66 especially efficient full-size sedans to its fleet. The Audi A6 2.0 TDI Ultra models have CO2 emissions of only 114 grams per kilometer (183.5 g/mi).

Audi said that the models with the “ultra” badge attain best values in fuel consumption and emissions thanks to innovative technical solutions. Audi already offers 22 ultra models for the A3, A4, A5, and A6 model series.

“The A6 ultra is a prime example of our efficiency philosophy, combining low consumption with Audi sportiness and luxury-class comfort,” says Wayne Griffiths, head of sales Germany at AUDI AG. “Our ultra models are of great interest to both fleet and private customers. They offer sustainable mobility fully suitable for everyday use, to the benefit of both the environment and operating costs.”

In the future, members of the German Federal Parliament can rely on the latest TDI technology for their official trips: The Audi A6 ultra is powered by a 2.0L TDI that produces 190 hp. With the optional 7-speed S tronic, a totally new dual-clutch transmission, its average fuel efficiency is 53.5 U.S. mpg, according to the automaker.
