The Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) is currently accepting nominations for its 2014 Fleet Awards. Nominations are being accepted until June 30.

The AfMA Awards seek to identify advances in best practice in Fleet Management and to bring these to the attention of its members and the industry.

Since their introduction in 1996 the awards have recognised new approaches and applications that have produced substantial reductions in costs, lowered emissions and improved safety outcomes.

Drawing attention to advances in fleet management techniques, the application of technology, fleet safety and raising awareness of the fleets’ impact on the environment, the Awards have inspired many to begin their own voyage towards best practice.

Nominations are being accepted in three categories: Fleet Manager of the Year, Fleet Environment Award, and Fleet Safety Award.

Supported by Nissan Fleet and Shell, the Fleet Manager Award is presented to an individual demonstrating excellence across the field of fleet management. Supported by Toyota Fleet and Toyota Fleet Management, the Fleet Environment Award is presented to an organisation for outstanding achievement in running a green fleet as part of a sustainability fleet policy.Supported by Smartfleet and endorsed by ANCAP, the Fleet Safety Award is presented to an organization demonstrating best practice in Fleet Safety.
