Chrysler Group LLC is recalling 644,850 2010-2014 model-year Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles because the vent window switch in the driver's door armrest is prone to overheating, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports. This condition poses a fire risk.

The recall affects vehicles manufactured from Aug. 25, 2010, through Oct. 31, 2013.

Chrysler dealers will replace the vent window switch with a newer version, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin next month.

Vehicle owners can reach Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P25.
