Donlen launched the next generation of its FleetWeb fleet management platform that builds on enhancements released at the end of 2013 to improve users' productivity and overall experience, according to the fleet management company.

Donlen demonstrated the new FleetWeb during the NAFA Institute and in Minneapolis, Minn., that ended April 11.

The release includes improvements to the user interface, functionality, and back end, along with significant changes to the driver data portion of Donlen's Vehicle Information Center (VIC).

User interface improvements include expanded menu selections along the top with most-visited areas; responsive easy-to-use toolbars, including a "My Reports" expandable menu; and a new background.

Functionality improvements include run reports with a greatly expanded number of rows and improved drag and drop capabilities.

Back-end improvements include a new HTML 5-based platform, improving the user's overall experience while navigating FleetWeb; server technology upgrade that makes FleetWeb even faster than before; and a database server upgrade to improve uptimes.

New immediate actions in Vehicle Information Center (VIC) include driver data changes / vehicle notes; driver ID pool admin; request maintenance documents; terminate a vehicle; request Fair Market Value (FMV) quote; and license and title summary screen.
