LeasePlan United Kingdom's managing director is leaving the fleet management company to take over as chief executive of a private equity backed company, several European fleet publications have reported.

David Brennan, who has served with the fleet management company for eight years, will leave his role at the end of April, reports Fleet Directory. Brennan leaves LeasePlan United Kingdom at a high-water mark, as the current fleet of 135,000 vehicles is the most the company has ever managed.

Dave Stickland, the company's financial director, will take over as interim managing director until a replacement can be found.
