GE Capital Fleet Services will host an off-site, interactive alternative fuel vehicle experience event for NAFA members at the company's Vehicle Innovation Center during the NAFA 2014 Institute & Expo (April 7-11) in Minneapolis.

The event, which will be held on Monday, April 7, will provide an opportunity for fleet managers to test drive more than 35 models of alternative fuel vehicles.

GE's Vehicle Innovation Center is located just 20 minutes from the Minneapolis Convention Center at GE Capital Fleet Services headquarters in Eden Prairie. The location features a private half-mile road course and a vehicle center showcasing vehicles in electric, natural gas, propane, hydrogen and other formats.

During the event, attendees will be able to test drive more than 35 alternative fuel vehicles from a range of manufacturers, including BYD Motors' pure electric vehicle; Honda's FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle; the Chevy Impala Bi-fuel CNG; the Echo Automotive bolt-on, plug-in hybrid vehicle; and the all-electric BMW i3.

Some vehicles will be equipped with telematics solutions as well as the state-of-the-art Mobileye collision avoidance system, giving drivers the unique opportunity to safely test some of the newest driver tracking and safety technology on the road.

The event will feature a presentation from Jeff Evanson, vice president of investor relations and strategy at Tesla Motors. Additionally, more than 70 manufacturers' representatives will be on hand to provide additional insight into the on-site vehicles and technologies, according to GE Capital Fleet Services.

Sessions are being offered at both 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on April 7.
