Subaru of America has announced pricing for its 2015 Forester compact SUV with only a minimal retail price increase to the redesigned 2014 model.

The Forester gets only a $225 price increase on the base model, which will not start at $23,045. The base model also now gets a standard rear-view camera and multi-function color display.

Subaru offers a 2.5L four-cylinder Boxer engine mated with either a six-speed manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). Buyers can also get an optional 2.0L turbocharged Boxer engine. All-wheel drive is standard.

Subaru offers the Forester in Premium, Limited, Touring, and the higher-performance XT versions. For 2015, the automaker is adding a standard moonroof to the Premium trim level. A manual transmission is now available on the Premium model. The Touring models now get standard 18-inch alloy wheels. Navigation for the Touring is now optional.

Retail pricing with destination and deliver fees has been set at $23,045 for the 2.5i manual; $24,045 for the 2.5i CVT; $25,445 for the 2.5i Premium manual; $25,945 for the Premium CVT; $28,945 for the 2.5i Limited CVT; $30,945 for the 2.5i Touring CVT; $29,345 for the 2.0XT Premium CVT; and $33,945 for the 2.0XT Touring CVT.
