Porsche is developing a plug-in hybrid version of its 2015 Macan compact SUV introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show, two top officials with the automaker announced.

Porsche Chairman Matthias Muller and Porsche Cars North America CEO Detlev von Platen made the announcement at the factory in Leipzig, Germany, reports Jalopnik.

Porsche is also offering the Macan Diesel in the U.S. and a four-cylinder Macan for China in addition to the two U.S. V-6 engines—the Macan S with a 3.0L 340-hp twin-turbo and the Macan Turbo with a 3.6L 400-hp twin-turbo engine.

The Macan will be available in May.
