LeasePlan Corp. N.V. began operating in Canada this week, after opening its first office in that country, the fleet management company announced.

In November, LeasePlan and Canadian fleet management company Foss National Leasing Ltd. (FNL) entered into a licensing agreemnt allowing FNL to operate the newly formed subsidiary, LeasePlan Canada.

The new division headed by Jeff Hartley provides a full range of fleet services including leasing, maintenance, repair, accident management, and vehicle remarketing.

"LeasePlan Canada and LeasePlan USA have partnered to create a regional fleet management solution that includes consolidated data and one-point-of-contact account management," said Jon Toups, chief sales and marketing officer for LeasePlan USA. "We are very excited that LeasePlan is now in a position to provide our regional clients with an integrated service offering."
