Nissan has released retail pricing for its 2014 LEAF electric subcompact car, which will start at just under $29,000 for the base S model.

Nissan will offer three trim levels — the S, SV, and SL. Retail prices will start at $28,980, $32,000, and $35,020 respectively. Options include a four-camera monitoring system and seven-speaker Bose audio system.

The 2014 models arrive with standard equipment such as a rear-view camera and new exterior color called Gun Metallic.

The 2014 LEAF has a driving range of 84 miles. It's fuel economy is rated at 126 mpg city, 101 mpg highway, and 114 mpg combined, according to Nissan. It can be charged up to 80% of full capacity in 30 minutes with a quick-charge port and DC fast charger. Charging at home with a 220-volt outlet takes about five hours with the 6.6-kilowatt charger or eight hours with the standard 3.6-kilowatt charger.
