Atlanta-based AmeriFleet will introduce Android and iOS smartphone apps that allow users to get vehicle tracking and status updates on the fly, the company announced.

AmeriFleet's app will be available for Android phones on January 20 and Apple devices in early February. A BlackBerry version will arrive later for its mostly Canadian customers who prefer that platform.

"Just like the rest of corporate America, our customers are being asked to do more with less," said John Norris, AmeriFleet's CEO. "If there's a product, solution, or tool that we can provide to help them do that, we're going to do our best to find it."

The app allows users to check the status of any vehicle being moved by AmeriFleet. The app's InstaQuote feature allows users to get a quote and book service in a few minutes.
