Volvo Cars of North America is recalling 30,929 2011-2012 model-year S60 sports sedans because the driver alert function indicating low oil pressure may not work properly, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported.

The recall affects S60 vehicles manufactured June 22, 2010, through May 14, 2012. They're also equipped with 5-cylinder B5254T5 (VIN code 62) engines.

Volvo dealers will update the vehicle's software so that the driver is alerted whenever the vehicle’s oil pressure is low. There will be no charge for this service.

Vehicle owners can reach Volvo at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo's number for this campaign is R29436.
