Porsche to Bring Macan Diesel to U.S.

Porsche will introduce a V-6 diesel version of its 2015 Macan compact SUV in the U.S. with no plans to offer the 4-cylinder version that will be available in other markets, reports Car and Driver.

The 258-horsepower Macan S diesel should retail for below $50,000 in the increasingly crowded compact SUV segment.

Porsche introduced the Macan at the Los Angeles Auto Show with to available V-6 engines—the Macan S with a 3.0L 340-hp twin-turbo and the Macan Turbo with a 3.6L 400-hp twin-turbo engine.
