John "Jack" O'Donnell, retired director of fleet services for Wyeth, who ran the pharmaceutical company's fleet from 1979 to 2008, passed away on Aug. 7, 2013. He was 61.

O'Donnell's last position at Wyeth Labs was as director of global fleet. He retired from the company in 2008. Wyeth, formerly one of the companies owned by American Home Products Corp., was purchased by Pfizer in 2009.

"Jack reported into the Sales Department and was always a great advocate for the importance of driver productivity and morale,  both of which were positively impacted by the vehicles and programs selected by Wyeth for their sales staff," said Jim Frank, CEO & president of Wheels Inc., which was the long-time fleet management company for Wyeth.

O'Donnell, who was born in Philadelphia, was a graduate of North Catholic High School and received his bachelor's degree from LaSalle University in 1974. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maryellen Heenan O'Donnell.
