General Motors introduced two new Chevrolet Sonic sedans at the Los Angeles Auto Show aimed at a youthful demographic—the RS Sedan and Sonic Dusk. The later appeared at the SEMA Show in 2012 as a concept vehicle.

General Motors is bringing 13 new or significantly redesigned vehicles to the show, most notably the redesigned 2015 Colorado midsize pickup. GM is also bringing the fuel-efficient Cruz Clean Turbo Diesel and new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that arrived at dealerships this summer.

The Sonic Dusk appearing at the SEMA show arrived with an Ecotec 1.4L turbocharged engine and six-speed transmission. It included ground effects, a rear spoiler, 18-inch aluminum wheels with a Pearl Nickel finish, Mojave accent stitching and tan-color door panel and instrument panel accents, and MyLink infotainment system.

In calendar-year 2012, fleet buyers registered 13,418 Chevrolet Sonic sedans mostly (11,473) as rental cars. That represented 16.7 percent of total sales.
