Porsche will unveil its 2014 Macan crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month as it makes entry to the compact SUV market, the automaker announced.
The Nov. 20 announcement will mark the automaker's fifth model line and second SUV after the Cayenne mid-size luxury crossover that was debuted in 2002.
Porsche initially plans to introduce two models of the Macan—the base-model Macan S with an optional diesel engine and the Macan Turbo, reports PorscheBoost.
A leaked Chinese spec sheet revealed details about the two models. According to the document, Macan Turbo's 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged direct-injected V-6 will produce 400 horsepower. The Macan S will be offered with the 3.0L twin-turbocharged engine available in the Panamera. A Macan S Diesel will be offered outside the U.S. with a 3.0L V-6 with 254 hp.
