Diagnostic Innovations, developer and manufacturer of automotive diagnostic solutions for heavy-duty vehicles, unveils the Vehicle Diagnostic Assistant Tough Tablet (VDATT).

The tablet is the newest edition to a product line that integrates the company's Vehicle Diagnostic Assistant (VDA) software with computer hardware for heavy-duty vehicle diagnostics.

The VDATT helps technicians diagnose and troubleshoot the engines, transmissions, and braking systems of fleet vehicles. VDATT is a complete diagnostic system featuring the rugged Panasonic Toughpad tablet that can be customized for each customer.

It integrates OEM software into an easy-to-use intelligent graphical interface. Multiple fleet options are available with branded OEM software. A RP1210A-compliant interface box is offered with six- and nine-pin connectors alongside an OBDII connector. The necessary cables and interface boxes are included in a carrying case.

The Panasonic ToughPad is a lightweight, fully ruggedized tablet that runs Windows Professional 7 and 8 operating systems. It is MIL-STD-810G certified to meet United States Military drop and environmental standards. The ToughPad is enabled with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and comes with a large 10.1-inch daylight-readable touch screen that has a battery life of approximately eight hours. The tablet uses an Intel Core Processor with a durable solid-state drive.
