The second in a series of 2013 fleet forums held in New South Wales on July 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and will cover the growing use of telematics and the importance of measuring to manage the effectiveness of vehicles and their drivers.

The forum is designed for fleet managers, chief operations officers, chief financial officers, human resource offices, and/or anyone involved with the cost effectiveness of fleets and the management of drivers.

Scheduled speakers include Steven Stone, fleet manager for Telstra Fleet, and Will Angove, automotive supplier advocate at the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research, and Tertiary Education.

Stone's presentation will cover "Telstra's Experience of GPS in Vehicles," giving an overview of Telstra's experience in moving into a GPS-enabled fleet work vehicle environment, its successes, and what the company has learned.

Angove will discuss "The Importance of the Australian Automotive Industry and What You Can Do to Support It."

The event will take place at Stamford Grand - Cnr Epping and Herring Roads North Ryde, NSW. A full breakfast will be provided. The event is AUS$59.00 (including GST) for members of the Australasian Fleet Management Association (AfMA) and AUS$79.00 (including GST) for non-members. Registrations close on July 26.
